The 150th anniversary celebration will see YouTubers recreating scenes from Lewis Carroll’s classic tale.
The celebration will be done in collaboration with YouTube Space London and Pan MacMillan Publishing, with the idea behind it focusing on YouTubers from across Britain re-enacting some of Alice In Wonderland‘s most memorable and iconic scenes. There will be a specific focus on the following chapters:
Chapter 1 – Down the Rabbit Hole
Chapter 5 – Advice from a Caterpillar
Chapter 7 – A Mad Tea Party
Chapter 8 – The Queen’s Croquet Ground
To help bring the chapters to life, each scene will be built within YouTube Space London, allowing creators the ability to fully transform into their roles. There will also be access to make-up and wardrobe artists, lighting and camera equipment, and production specialists. With no set way to re-enact the chapters, YouTubers will have free reign to interpret them however they see fit.
Pan MacMillan Publishing will be sending off copies of each chapter to those wishing to get involved, and will also be inviting creators to workshops about storytelling, post production and make-up/wardrobe design.
Production for the series is set to occur throughout August, with the videos being uploaded this fall. Those wishing to get involved in the project can do so by applying here.

Late last year, many of your favourite YouTubers, including Louise Pentland and Jack Howard, were involved in an Alice In Wonderland inspired photoshoot. Check out the results!
