Have you been too busy watching the thermostat rise instead of watching YouTube videos again? Silly, silly you…
Yep, the sun is beginning to appear from behind the clouds and the majority of British citizens have donned t-shirts and shorts already. Is it barbecue weather yet? No? Sod it, we’ll have one anyway.
All the while, unbeknownst to them, it’s been a busy week for viral videos. We’ve gathered a collection of the videos from across the globe that are trending right here in the UK.
Prince Harry: ‘Selfies are bad, just take a normal photograph’

Uploaded: 6 April
We’re kicking things off with some royal realness. HRH Prince Harry (real name Henry) has popped over to Australia for four weeks and it’s safe to say Hazza hasn’t held back since he arrived down under.
“I hate selfies,” the Prince of Wales blurts out when a fan politely asks for one. Sorry, what? How very dare you, HRH, that’s not very regal or majestic of you. We can only hope this isn’t a taste of what’s to come. If selfies are outlawed in the UK, we’ll be left with no option but to pack our bags and move to Indonesia with those selfie-taking monkeys.
12 year old boy dancing with Nicki Minaj in Belfast
Uploaded: 2 April
Every pop super-fan dreams of meeting their idol and this little Barb had that dream come true aged 12. Donny bursts into tears when Nicki Minaj invites him on stage at a gig in Belfast. But he doesn’t let that hold him back.
With Niki watching on, Donny whips out a twerk-filled performance. And it is giving us life right now. And y’kno what, hats off to Nicki for sharing the spotlight. After all, some pop divas haven’t handled it so gracefully in the past.
Change The Tune – Green Party 2015 Election Broadcast
Uploaded: 8 April
The UK General Election takes place this May, and in the run-up to it The Green Party has decided it’s time everyone takes them seriously. So, they made a boy band video and uploaded it to YouTube.
In the words of Green Party leader, Natalie Bennett: “For many years the Establishment parties have been singing from the same hymn sheet”. Turning that hymn sheet into an actual song has definitely made for one the more entertaining pieces of electioneering thus far. Although we now do want someone to make Natalie, Nicola Sturgeon and Leanne Wood into a super girl group. We’re thinking a re-imagining of No Scrubs maybe? Oh and don’t worry, #ChangeTheTune is available to download for free.
Found GoPro-camera – memory card intact. Last video: See when the camera fell from 3000 meters
Uploaded: 3 April
You probably don’t want to watch this video if you’re under the influence. Just a friendly warning. Even if you’re not, this video is pretty trippy and had us clenching in areas we’d rather not talk about (although we do love to Kegel).
This isn’t the first time a GoPro has fallen from the sky and the results have been posted online. Last year a similar video surfaced after someone dropped the camera out of a plane and it landed in a pig pen. You just can’t make this stuff up.
Anne Hathaway’s Wrecking Ball vs. Emily Blunt’s Piece Of My Heart | Lip Sync Battle
Uploaded: 9 April
We’re not too sure where to start with this video. Let’s break it down: Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, lip-syncing. Is this the scene that was cut from The Devil Wears Prada?
Just when we thought Mrs Blunt had nailed it with her rendition of Piece Of My Heart, our dear Fantine pulled it out of the bag and we’re just… wow. Can we replace Miley Cyrus with Anne Hathaway for good? Sorry not sorry.
Vine: Ed Miliband Careless Whisper
Back on the election hype and we’re still not over this featuring Labour leader Ed Miliband. It makes us feel things. Granted, we’re not entirely sure what those things are, but we can’t help but get lost for hours on end in those eyes.
