We think we may have the best job…
We get to sift through all the hundreds of How To & Style videos uploaded each week, and whittle them down to our favourites. Yeah, we know, it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it…
‘No Makeup’ Drugstore Makeup Tutorial – Estee Lalonde
‘No make-up’ make-up tutorials are some of the hardest to pull off… How DOES one look natural while covering any flaws? Well, Estée shows us how it’s done in her newest video, and we at TenEighty think she has done a fabulous job.
The best part about this video (asides from the fact Estée is in it!) is that all the make-up she uses is high-street make-up. Great on the purse strings and perfect for people still at school, looking for a cheap, natural look.
Body Image Pressure – Helen Anderson & Laila Daho
Being so invested in the beauty industry, especially on YouTube where the ladies are on another level, can lead to body-image issues. So, we at TenEighty were super excited when Helen released this video with Laila Daho all about body image pressures and lovin’ yo’self.
It’s important not to compare yourself to the ‘inspo’ tags on Instagram and other social media too harshly. We are all fab in our own ways and we love Helen and Laila for making this video.
I ❤ Spring TAG – Lucy Flight
It’s almost spring and we are excited to see the ‘I love spring’ tag cropping up on beauty guru channels. Our favourite so far has been Lucy’s, which was bright and fun and decked out with bright spring appropriate accessories in the background and, of course, flowers.
Lucy has made us too excited for warmer weather, pastel nail polish and pink lipsticks.
NewTuber: Top 5 Topshop Lipsticks – Gee Box
Gee takes our spot as this week’s NewTuber after we fell in love with her Top 5 Topshop Lipsticks video! We love Topshop lipsticks, too, and can we just say: eyebrows on fleek!
Every week, The Style Slice features a How To & Styler with fewer than 10,000 subscribers. If this applies to you, or a YouTuber you’re obsessed with, tweet us using the hashtag #TheStyleSlice to nominate.
