The YouTuber has announced the eight episode series is set to premiere on the children’s television channel 7 February.
Oli White has announced he’ll be hosting a television show on CBBC. Entitled Cinemaniacs, the eight episode series will target children aged 6 to 12 and will explore the many aspects of movie culture.
In a Facebook post, Oli wrote: “From an early age, I’ve always wanted to be a children’s presenter and 2015 marks the year for having my own eight episode show.”

Along with detailing the many facets of movie culture, Cinemaniacs will also feature appearances from celebrity guests, who will participate in various segments during episodes.. These include actor Sir Ian McKellen and director Ron Howard.
Speaking with World Screen, Lucinda Whiteley, executive producer on the project, said: “Oli is a fantastic example of someone who has taken film production into his own hands – building a loyal following and a thriving career from his YouTube channel. We hope he will help to inspire and empower a new wave of young filmmaking enthusiasts to do the same through the Cinemaniacs series.”
Cinemaniacs will premiere 07 February on CBBC.
