Five of the Best: New Year’s Videos

Now that we’re comfortably settled into 2015, let’s join some of our favourite YouTubers as they get reflective about the past year. We’ve seen resolutions videos, 2014 highlights and tons more… so here’s Five of the Best!

2014 Rewind – Niki and Sammy Albon

It’s been a very busy year for Niki and Sammy Albon. As mentioned in the video, their channel has grown from around 8,000 subscribers to 80,000 in a year. That’s TEN TIMES MORE PEOPLE IN A YEAR!

We love how the twins reflect on their highlights of the year; they look back at their favourite videos, the gathering Sit’nChat they hosted, their live hangout and various collabs. A really enjoyable video showing how far a pair can come in a year!

My Resolutions – Rebecca Brown

What we love about Beckie‘s video is that she includes clips from her 2014 resolutions video reflects directly on what she had said in it.

We’re incredibly proud to see her talk openly about improvements with her mental health over the year, and amazingly Beckie managed to keep far more resolutions than any of us at TenEighty HQ. She finishes the video with resolutions for the next year, so we cannot wait to see whether they will also be completed!

New Year’s Resolutions – Carrie Hope Fletcher

We love how Carrie Hope Fletcher simply describes New Year’s as a ‘big kick up the arse’, as everyone reevaluates their lives and tries to change things about themselves. We look forward to Carrie playing the saxophone more (hopefully in videos) and also her book ideas coming to fruition! You go Carrie!!

The Best Of 2014 – Marcus Butler

Marcus Butler is such a babe! What is wonderful about his New Year’s video is how he looks back on other YouTubers’ achievements rather than his own. Our hero.

He celebrates a huge number of different achievements from within the community, by various YouTubers, and we just love that! A really nice video to get an overview of the YouTube community as a whole!

100 Things I Did In 2014 – Tyler Oakley

Last but not least we have Tyler Oakley. We found ourselves aghast at just how much Tyler has achieved in a single year, and this video is testament to how much YouTube has grown in 2014. The video also features some of our UK favourites so keep your eyes peeled.

He managed 100 things, while we spent most of our year watching other YouTubers from the safety of our darkened bedrooms. Just watch it. It is truly remarkable!
