Niki and Sammy Albon teamed up with Google+ Hangouts to deliver something very special to all their fans this Christmas.
Joined by their YouTube friends Sam King, Laura Bubble and Dodie Clark, the twins interacted with a live studio audience and viewers on the Hangout stream for something they called – you’ve guessed it – #Twinmas! And here is TenEighty’s photo recap…
Look at that studio! Christmas trees, baubles and presents galore. Not only do Google+ give YouTubers the opportunity to do fabulous live-streams with all their mates, it seems they could branch out into interior design. Very homely and rustic yet with several massive screens to stream your favourite videos on.
And there’s more… We were just as surprised as Niki and Laura are here when we saw the spread Google+ had put on.
.@GoogleUK @nikinsammy I mean LOOK AT THIS. It's like all our #twinmas'ses [sp?] have come at once! pic.twitter.com/nNEgLrHOgC

Cupcakes, brownies, popcorn, cheese platters, olives, mini fish and chips, those sausages wrapped in bacon. We are not even kidding, they had every type of food you could imagine in miniature form.
Surely this is when you know you’ve made it. I mean really. Your own name on cupcakes. Hundreds of them.
And look PRESENTS. Every audience member got a free webcam. There were candy canes, crackers, balloons. It might seem that we’re getting a little excited about all of this, but we were honestly blown away by how much had gone into this.
Either Niki and Sammy are made of money or Google+ are the best party planners in the world. We hope its not too late to book them for our festive shindig.
This girl here is so excited she’s had to ring her mum to tell her about the webcam Niki, Sammy and Google+ have given her. Bless her cottons, she’s so happy!
It’s almost show time and Lizzy Knights-Ward from Google+ is here to introduce the boys and lay down the law. We are big fans of Lizzy here at TenEighty. She’s one of those hidden gems that make a lot of things behind-the-scenes tick, so we’re sure she probably had a lot to do with all this.
In many ways she’s kind of like Santa. Santa brings you all the presents you want without you ever actually seeing him. Yes, that’s it. Lizzy is our version of Santa. And we’ve finally caught her on camera!
One of Lizzy’s surprise rules was that we all had to blow up balloons and throw them at Niki and Sammy as they entered. This girl is particularly excited at that prospect.
FINALLY! THE TWINS! The stream started (we’ll be honest the balloons thing didn’t quite work, that’s why we haven’t included a picture of that) and then it was straight to business. What business is that you ask? MORE PRESENTS.
As Sammy unwrapped his present from Niki he noticed that it was getting significantly smaller. Y’know the old trick of wrapping something small putting it in a box, then wrapping it again, then putting it inside something bigger and then wrapping it again.
Niki is very amused by all this, lets hope Sammy is too. Lord forbid it causes a rift between them throughout the show…
A satsuma. Yep. Very funny Niki. Just hilarious. And what did Sammy get you…
A dinosaur onesie! Clearly Sammy is the more thoughtful one out of the two of you. We’re not too sure if this is a very balanced relationship anymore.
Our Xmas card isn't signed? FINE IT'S CLEAR THAT NEITHER @NikiAlbon OR @SammyAlbon WANT US ON THEIR TEAM! #twinmas pic.twitter.com/VOCQJI7QzR

You see those Christmas cards that everyone is holding in the picture above? Yeah, they were signed from either Niki or Sammy. This meant you were on their team. Our card wasn’t signed. Why did we even show up, seriously?
It was at this point we decided that we were on Team Sam King and that’s when he graced the stage. The twins had bought him a Christmas present too. A new mini red hoodie. Despite it being tight round the armpits and cutting off just above his shoulders he somehow manages to rock it.
But Sam King can rock anything. Sam King is our hero. #TeamSamKing (We’re hoping this will make Niki and Sammy know we are mad at them for not picking us for their teams…)
The boys invited some guests from the audience up to play a game of ‘which one of these things isn’t true’ (working title, we’ll come up with a better name later…). Sam was told three Christmas facts and had to figure out which one wasn’t true.
Problem is Sam said he already knew, making the game ultimately POINTLESS. But that’s why Sam’s the best. We love Sam King. Sam King FOR THE WIN. Ha.
CUTE SELFIE TIME. SELFIES ALL ROUND. We should’ve been in this selfie. We are clearly more worthy of Sam’s company then these two. Who even are they? They’re not Jack and Finn. Geez. (Maybe we should drop it…)
For those of you that didn’t see the Hangout and just assumed it’d be the boys in their bedroom, here’s proof that it wasn’t. Full studio, multiple cameras and a man who sits and presses buttons to change angles. Google+ don’t mess around, mate.
Things are about to get bubbly up in here, it’s Laura Bubble!
…Yeah, we didn’t think it’d be that sort of ‘bubbly’. The boys made Laura gargle the melody of a song that the audience had to guess. Yes, this picture may look suspicious but not as suspicious as…
…this one. Yep, this cheeky chappy from the audience got the best angle on Niki gargling. This one’s Jingle Bells. No, it was Silent Night. Then again, it could’ve been Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer. Whatever it was, we’re unsure about Niki’s future career in music.
Next to grace the couch was Dodie Clark. She sang a lovely little tune she wrote about Christmas starting too early. She warned everyone before not to accuse her of being a humbug but, like with everything Dodie does, it was observational and adorable. A fitting end to this festive Google+ Hangout.
Once it was over the audience couldn’t wait to get on the couch and take photos together. There was more food to be had and plenty of photo-ops with all of #Twinmas’s stars.
Here’s a cute one of Laura and Sam. We weren’t kidding earlier when we said it was selfie galore!
And here’s one of Niki and Sammy and all the lovely people who turned out for the event.
It’s worth noting here that the boys made sure they got round to talk to everyone before and after the show. They really care about their fans and events like #Twinmas – which was totally free for all the people who came along – really proves that.
