Charlie Hides won a Royal Television Society award at the RTS North West ceremony on Saturday.
The Charlie Hides Show won in the Best Low Budget Programme category, beating nominations for BBC and LFCTV.
Charlie told TenEighty: “I’m over the moon to have my efforts recognised by such a prestigious award. It’s a bit surreal.”
The programme, which features celebrity impressions and comedy sketches all performed by Charlie, was broadcast on London Live and has his YouTube channel been praised by Lady Gaga, Cher and Kylie Minogue for its vivid impersonations.

Charlie said: “Winning an award is a validation of what we YouTubers already know, that there is a huge amount of creativity and talent on the platform. The way people watch entertainment is changing”.
Tickets to see Charlie Hides on his Australia tour in 2015 will be announced on his Facebook page.
