To celebrate all that ‘How To & Style’ has to offer we’re bringing you a BRAND NEW column – The Style Slice. Our weekly collection of the very best from the fashion and beauty bunch. Make up brushes at the ready, style fans.
With new uploads from Zoe Sugg, Ruth Crilly and Tanya Burr‘s additions to her current beauty line, it’s safe to say it has been a good week for the beauty community. But what has really hit the spot in the last week?
HUGE Primark Haul!|TalkBeckyTalk
Becky Sheeran treated us to a look at what is new at Primark in their A/W 14 collection. Primark hauls garner huge numbers of views and we can’t tell if it’s because we’re a community of bargain hunters, or if it’s purely down to the fact Primark keep us on tenterhooks with their lack of online catalogues.
Becky has a beautiful Autumnal background which makes us want to hop right through the screen into her cosy cottage and chat about all things beauty and fashion. Those aesthetics.
☾ Graveyard Eyes – Halloween Tutorial ☽| DollFaceRee
YouTube sweetheart Rhiannon kicked off the Halloween season with an incredible graveyard eyes tutorial that makes the undead look sexy. Rhiannon has some serious talent with a makeup brush so if you thought you couldn’t rock a bright green eyeshadow, think again.
If we could do liquid eyeliner without making it look like our cat had lent us a paw, we’d definitely try it out. This has to be one of the most creative Halloween looks on the ‘How to & Style’ scene, a nice diversion from the usual sexy cat style we see popping up year after year!
‘No Makeup’ Natural Makeup for Problem Skin | Onna B
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANrbncz9ysc
Ah, the elusive ‘no makeup, makeup’ look. It’s incredibly difficult to achieve but much coveted by How to & Stylers aiming for that off duty model feel. Onna Boden has got you covered this week. Her tutorials are easy to follow, well put together and always end with us wondering why we can’t look like that.
Girls with problem skin, take note, Onna’s tutorial is your new bible with some fab tips. She also links everything in the description box, which must be a feat of endurance in itself. On behalf of hardcore ‘How to & Style’ fans, thank you Onna for being so considerate.
NewTuber: LILY COLLINS MAKEUP | Jordan Theresa ♡
Each week our fourth spot in The Style Slice will be awarded to a smaller, lesser known UK How to & Styler. This week Jordan Theresa showed us an utterly stunning Lily Collins makeup tutorial. It’s easy to follow, with great results (trust us, we’ve already tried it out) and her video editing is on point too. It’s ridiculous that a 15 year old girl can have this much talent when it comes to beauty and producing videos. Save some talent for the rest of us, please?
We need your help to fill the NewTuber spot each week, so if you have a YouTube channel, or love a YouTuber with less than 10,000 subscribers Tweet using #TheStyleSlice and tell us why you love them! Our NewTube segment really can’t work without your help, so get your friends, your Mum, heck, even your cat to Tweet us and find our NewTuber each week. We’re counting on you. No pressure.
Please sir, can I have some more?
Since you asked so nicely, yes you can! Zoe Sugg uploaded this Lush haul, which made us all wish someone would invent ‘smell-o-Tube’ so we could have a whiff of the goods too.
October means ‘Vlogtober’ and this year Jess from SunBeamsJess and Lexi from SoTotallyVlog have taken on the challenge. This means we get to snoop on the daily lives of our ‘How To & Style’ favourites without it being totally creepy!
