YouLive 2014 has officially been cancelled by event organiser Jey Management.
The YouTube event was due to take place on 25 – 26 October 2014 but will not go ahead.
An email addressed from Simon Duffell blamed the cancellation on “unfounded attacks”.
The message, sent to YouTube stars due to attend the event, said: “We have tried as best we can to stop the unfounded attacks on us, but as is the case with social media, it has spread to a level that has become too much for us to retaliate to.”
He added: “We are sorry that if, like us, you were looking forward to YouLive, we were certainly looking forward to having you.”

On Thursday, the Hilton Brighton Metropole was first to announce the cancellation on Twitter.
Elaine Reed, Senior Corporate Communications Manager for Hilton Europe told TenEighty: “We can confirm that Hilton Brighton Metropole has regrettably cancelled an event booking by Jey Management.”

A full statement from YouLive has been issued on the event’s website.
Elaine Reed encouraged attendees to contact Jey Management directly if they had any questions.
She told TenEighty: “As a venue for many different types of event, Hilton Brighton Metropole is neither the organiser nor promoter of You Live and any further enquiries should be directed to Jey Management.”
