Tom Ridgewell has promised to donate £5,000 to the Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared Kickstarter if it reaches £90,000. His donation will take the fundraiser £1,000 off it’s target, and in return he will become an executive producer on the next four proposed videos in the series.
In a statement on Tumblr, Tom rallied his fan base saying: “Your mission is this: If y’all can spread this shit like wildfire/donate and get the current total up to £90,000 then I’ll chip in £5,000 of my own money to round it up.”
The Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared team responded, in an update on the Kickstarter page: “We are big fans of his [TomSka] and it would be amazing to have him onboard as the Father Of dreams! So come on guys…lets get fUnDeD!”
The fundraiser has raised £82,000 so far, however time is running out as the deadline is on the 19 June. Kickstarter do not release funds if a project does not hit or exceed its target.
